Wiretailed Swallow

The Wiretailed Swallow is a common resident within South Africa. often seen near or at water resulting in it being easily overlooked by a lot of birders, often recording it as a Whitethroated or Barn Swallow when it is seen on the wing, however the lack of a band across the throat or any colour on the throat shouldeliminate any confusion with the other species. The very thin "Wire" tail streamers should also eliminate any mis-identification.
